Young Thug’s lawyer claims during RICO trial that Thug’s name stands for “Truly Humble Under God”

Young Thug’s lawyer claims at trial that Thug’s name honors God
On Monday, Young Thug’s long-awaited YSL RICO trial finally kicked off. This came after the trial was initially set to begin in January. The delay stemmed from the jury selection process taking longer than expected.
Meanwhile, there has since been plenty of trending moments during the early stages of Thug’s trial. On Tuesday, his attorney Brian Steele made another claim, to try to make Thug sound innocent in the light. Steele says that Thug’s stage name is an abbreviation for “Truly Humble Under God.” “Truly Humble Under God, that’s what THUG means,” Steele said during the trial.”
Thug was initially arrested in May of 2022, while inside of his Atlanta home. He and 27 other YSL associates were arrested, including Gunna. However, Gunna and many others reached plea deals, to be released in December. Gunna also admitted that YSL is a gang, and not just a record label. They’ve been accused of various violent gang activities in this case, which dates all the way back to 2013, with Thug calling the shots on what crimes are committed.
