Young Thug’s lawyer says Thug is rotting in jail

On Thursday, it was revealed that Gunna’s third attempt at bond was denied. This was reportedly due to a judge believing that he may intimidate witnesses. Gunna and Thug have both been in jail since early May, due to a 56-count RICO indictment. This also included 26 other members of their YSL crew. Gunna’s third bond attempt came as he supposedly had all violent crimes against him dropped.

Now, Thug’s attorney, Brian Steele, is also speaking out about his client again. He believes that Thug has been “rotting” at the local Atlanta jail that he’s been held at.

“It is unjust that [Young Thug] rots in the County Jail and has not yet been provided complete discovery by the prosecution and is being required to wait on the appointment of counsel for co-indictees. This Honorable Court must intervene to prevent this injustice.”

Thug’s bond requests have also been denied three times. He and Gunna will have to wait until their trials in January, to possibly finally be free. Thug was the first to be arrested, in this indictment. At the time, his Atlanta home was raided by federal agents.
