This current era of hip hop is the most-interesting, due to the number of artists out here making noise. One artist taking the game by storm is BBM Young Diesel. Holding it down for the desert, BBM Young Diesel is getting play in other parts of the country.
Currently, BBM Young Diesel is working on his Trap School: Senior Year project. With September pegged as the release date, Diesel plans to put another single out. His next single will be the follow-up to “Rapido,” which is currently being played in Orlando.
BBM Young Diesel recently talked to Hip Hop Vibe in the latest On The Rise interview segment. During the interview, he spoke on the opportunities making music has afforded him. He also explained what his goals are in continuing to market said music.

How does it feel to have the freedom to pursue your dream and then to experience some successes? I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I thank all those before me that laid groundwork for the hip hop industry to flourish. Being able to perform on the same stage as Tyga, 2 Chainz, and Juicy J, shows me that it is possible to live my dream!
What was the feeling you had when you first heard one of your songs on the radio? It was extreme happiness, the feeling of great accomplishment!
Can you talk more about your single, “Rapido,” which is currently in rotation in Orlando? Okay, Rapido is Spanish for faster or quickly. What motivated me to make that single was the fact that I had been living in New Mexico for three years and money keeps coming to me faster and faster.
How did you and DJ SL Jamz first get in contact with each other? On Twitter, actually. I hit him up asking if he needed a website to be made. He said he did and I fleeked him a website up out the pot. Visit www.justjamzent.com. I let him know I do music and that’s my passion, so he listened to my tracks. He loved them and gave me great feedback. Ever since then been rockin!
With your single doing fairly well, when should fans expect the full project? They should expect the EP Coming out in September, TrapSchool: Senior Year. No albums yet, just mixtapes, ya dig. Until I get that contract (laughs).
Is there another single you plan to release before the project comes? Yes there is, actually, the next Single is called “Mami Cita,” produced by Bruce Wayne. Which is also currently being played in Orlando.
