Mann Austin Hayes, age 21, is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend, Julie De La Garza, and later killing her. Hayes is accused of being a jealous ex, shooting his ex-girlfriend, after seeing her driving with her new boyfriend. The young man was initially charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after shooting De La Garza in the head, with those charges upgraded, when she died from the injuries.
