Anthony Davis confronts Jaxson Hayes for bumping LeBron James

A rivalry is building between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers. The idea of the Pelicans and Lakers having a rivalry was laughable, to start the season. Worst case scenario for the Lakers was for them to be 45-31, at this point in the season. Instead, the Lakers are 31-45, following their latest loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

When the season began, the Los Angeles Lakers were expecting to contend for the title. On the other hand, the New Orleans Pelicans were dealing with Zion Williamson being out for the season. The Pelicans got off to a 1-12 start to the season. However, the Pelicans turned it around behind the strong play from Brandon Ingram. Actually, the Pelicans have played very well.

A few weeks ago, the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Los Angeles Lakers and took their play-in spot. The Lakers are likely to now miss the entire postseason. Last night, the Lakers had a prime opportunity to get things back going. Anthony Davis returned to the lineup and the Pelicans were a big game for them. But, AD was traded from the Pelicans, so Brandon Ingram had a big game. Right after tip off, Jaxson Hayes fouled LeBron, so Anthony Davis stepped to him.
