Brandon Ingram gets ejected for taunting Frank Jackson

This season, the New Orleans Pelicans have been one of the NBA’s most interesting teams. Due to having Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are predicted to be contenders one day. But, Zion has spent most of his career out, due to injuries. No question, the Pelicans are looking at the Grizzlies’ success with Ja Morant, and feeling funny about their choice. While the Pelicans are on the outside looking in at the Suns, Warriors, Grizzlies, Jazz, Nuggets, and Mavericks, they’re not doing too badly.

Brandon Ingram was the second overall pick, back in 2016. Drafted by the Lakers, many questioned if Ingram could fill the shoes of Kobe Bryant. The Lakers became the NBA’s worst team, during the end of Bryant’s tenure, with LAL. Rebuilding, the Lakers slowly became a fringe playoff team, but their young core was gutted, when LeBron James joined the team. However, Ingram and LeBron played the same position, so Ingram was soon in New Orleans, in exchange for Anthony Davis.

Currently, Brandon Ingram is playing like an All-Star, with Zion out. The Pelicans started the season 1-12 and are currently 19-32. While that’s not a playoff record, it is a dramatic improvement. Last night, the Pelicans got a win over the Detroit Pistons. Towards the end of the game, Ingram blocked Frank Jackson, his former teammate. Ingram jokingly taunted him and got ejected from the game.
