Daniel Caesar apologizes for racist remarks in new interview
Cancel culture isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. This act of silencing or eliminating anything seemed as negative in pop culture, effects even the untouchable. One music artist in particular is attempting a comeback, after experiencing one of the biggest cancellations. Daniel Caesar apologizes for racial remarks made in the past in new interview. In 2019, Daniel went viral for calling black people too sensitive, while defending social media star YesJulz. Daniel also asked the question “why are we (black people) being so mean to white people right now..?”. The video went viral within minutes of its release.
Despite the current backlash, Daniel Caesar is one of rnb’s most talented stars. Earning a massive following with his debut studio album Freudian, he dominated the charts following its release. His second studio album Case Study, further proved his place in rnb music. After only two albums, Daniel received his first Grammy for Best Rnb Performance for the single “Best Part” featuring H.E.R. In 2021, Daniel landed his first number one release featuring alongside Giveon on Justin Bieber’s single “Peaches.”
Although successful in music, Daniel’s personal belief’s played a major role in his cancellation. Shortly after the 2019 video was released, fans began to question if Daniel was racist. Since then, he’s apologized but nothing quite compares to this recent interview. Daniel Caesar is currently promoting his new album titled, Never Enough.
