Despite this, few people have mentioned Devin Booker, when discussing the MVP. Surely, the best player on the best team in the NBA deserves a look. It’s not like Devin Booker has suddenly gotten great, either. Prior to 2020, Devin Booker put up historically great numbers on a historically bad team.
Last night, Devin Booker showed how great he was. On the road, the Phoenix Suns trailed the Minnesota Timberwolves for the entire game. In the fourth quarter, the Phoenix Suns regained the lead, and took over the game. Booker is becoming a superstar, evidenced by Patrick Beverley trying to tackle him, and the fans heckling him. Devin Booker didn’t have any time for a courtside heckler, telling him to shut up, and calling him a name, in response.
