DJ Khaled shows Rihanna love ahead of Super Bowl performance
It’s finally Super Bowl Sunday, as fans are ready to see the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles face off at State Farm Stadium, in Phoenix, AZ. The Super Bowl Halftime Show also has a lot of anticipation, as Rihanna is performing. This is Rih’s first live performance in seven years.
Ahead of Rihanna taking the stage, DJ Khaled congratulated her, for this opportunity. The two have collaborated before, as they had one of the biggest songs of 2017, “Wild Thoughts,” which also included Bryson Tiller.
“RiRi, I love you so much,” Khaled said. “Congratulations in advance. They changed the name of Super Bowl. It’s called ‘RiRi Super Bowl.’ I’mma have my airhorn ready and I’m going to order me a cheeseburger well done. I’mma sit back, relax, watch the show… come on! It’s Super Bowl!
Khaled also revealed that he won’t be part of the halftime performance. He explained that he’s coming as a fan, and to support someone who’s like a sister to him. This comes a week after Khaled rocked the stage at the Grammys, as he performed “God Did” with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Jay Z, John Legend, and Fridayy.
