For some reason, a lot of people act like it’s wrong to show Jay-Z love, today is his birthday and he has made a mark on the game. Because of Jay-Z, there are aspiring rappers all over the world who have more than one hustle. Even if they don’t know it, a lot of them were inspired by Reasonable Doubt.
The opening sequence of the album is a nod to the classic film, Scarface, and then it goes right into “Can’t Knock The Hustle.” Released as one of the later singles on the album, it is the original anthem for a lot of hustlers. Mary J. Blige fit the record very well and this adds to his legacy.
With Christmas being a few weeks away, a lot of people are trying to hustle to make it a great holiday. Every day Jay-Z is hustling and he is celebrating his birthday today. Plus, today is Wednesday Throwback, so this was a nice way to tie all of it in, so let’s take it back to 1996 with Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock The Hustle.”
