Fivio Foreign drops For Nothin video on same day as debut album
Fivio Foreign is the hottest rising rapper in New York City, right now. There is always talk about the New York hip hop scene and who should have next. Much of this is because New York City is the birthplace of hip hop. The artists from New York City who have built buzz, over the past decade, have been scrutinized for not sounding like “real” New York rappers.
With Fivio Foreign, he comes in as the most successful Brooklyn drill rapper yet. The first ones were written off and then there was Pop Smoke. Many credited Pop Smoke for capturing the drill movement, along with a lot of the intangibles of the NYC icons. Two years ago, Pop Smoke met his untimely death, and the world still mourns. Fivio Foreign has dedicated much of his career to Pop’s memory.
Fivio Foreign built a lot of momentum, heading into his debut album’s release. This morning, Fivio Foreign released B.I.B.L.E. to much fanfare. Recently, Fivio Foreign sat down with Hot 97, where he discussed his new album. Alongside the album release, Fivio Foreign also released the “For Nothin'” music video.
