Icewear Vezzo made history, a few years ago. He is the first rapper from Detroit to sign to Motown Records. Long before LA, and the Universal partnership, Motown was based in Detroit. Many point to the departure of Motown as one of many signs of Detroit’s gradual decline. There was a time when Detroit was the fourth-largest city in America.

The current generation of Detroit residents grew up in a city that’s literally a shell of its former self. A city designed to hold 2 million people is now home to around 600,000. This sharp decline included the city filing for bankruptcy, in 2013. Since then, there have been improvements in the city, among them is Icewear Vezzo rising to fame. He’s been on a run since 2016.

Icewear Vezzo is a force in the game and he put the focus back on Detroit, over the past five years. He recently returned with his single, “The Feeling,” which has already gone viral. Now, the buzzing rapper has returned with the official music video for the single. The music video has been out for the past two days.
