James Harden gets mad at Tyrese Maxey for not passing him the ball
James Harden joined the Philadelphia 76ers and it was assumed that they would win the East. All season, the NBA’s Eastern Conference has been a revolving door. At the beginning of the season, the Hornets and Wizards looked like contenders. As the season took shape, the Chicago Bulls ran the East, and looked like title contenders doing it.
James Harden started the season with the Brooklyn Nets. Before the injuries, James Harden and Kevin Durant led the Nets to the East’s best record. After the Nets cooled off, Joel Embiid began scoring out of his mind, leading the Sixers to the top. The Miami Heat stayed within striking distance and they ended up taking the East’s top record.
James Harden and Joel Embiid formed a strong duo, but not enough to win the East. Instead, the Harden / Embiid Sixers won the fourth seed. Taking on the Raptors in the first round, the Sixers dominated in the first three games. Going up 3-0, the Sixers dropped two games, before winning Game 6. Joel Embiid got injured, so he missed Game 1 in Miami. This left James Harden and Tyrese Maxey to argue over passes.
