JaVale McGee hits Dirk Nowitzki’s trademark turnaround jump shot | Suns at Heat [VIDEO]

JaVale McGee hits Dirk Nowitzki’s trademark turnaround jump shot

Over the years, JaVale McGee has become more known for Shaqtin a Fool than he has for his actual play. McGee was a key reserve for the Golden State Warriors, joining the team after the infamous 2016 upset. With JaVale McGee playing backup at center, the Warriors won the 2017 and 2018 championships. In his career, JaVale McGee has always been a serviceable big man. After the 2018 title, McGee joined the Lakers to play on LeBron’s new look team. In 2020, he won his third title with the Lakers.

During the 2019-2020 season, the Lakers were all of the talk. However, the Phoenix Suns were finally getting it together, after a decade of struggling. Despite having one of the NBA’s best players, in Devin Booker, the Suns were a terrible team. But they did enough in the 2020 season to make it to the bubble and they only narrowly missed the playoffs. The offseason saw Chris Paul join the team and that led to them posting the NBA’s second best record, and coming within two wins of the championship.

This season, the Phoenix Suns have cruised to the NBA’s best record. The only team that appears to be a threat to them is the Golden State Warriors. Chris Paul is currently out with injuries and the Phoenix Suns have “struggled.” Last night, the Miami Heat were heavily favored to win against the “struggling” Suns. It was the opposite, as the Suns blew the Heat out in Miami. JaVale McGee channeled his inner Dirk Nowitzki, hitting a turnaround jumper that was totally his style.
