The Phoenix Suns have been slept on, all season long, despite holding the NBA’s best record. With the exception of the first few days, and the week the Warriors took over, the Suns have been in control. Just this past week did people begin treating them like that. Recently, Devin Booker has spoken up, making his case for MVP. However, Devin Booker actually is making more news for his exchange with a Minnesota Timberwolves fan.
Devin Booker has been one of the NBA’s best players for years. However, the Phoenix Suns were one of the worst teams in the league. During the 2020 bubble, Devin Booker and the Suns got hot, and only narrowly missed the playoffs. Last season, the Suns added Chris Paul, and they took over the NBA. Their first playoff run in eleven years saw the Suns make it all the way to the NBA Finals. Going up 2-0, the Suns made their first Finals since 1993.
This season, when Chris Paul went down with injury, Devin Booker showed why he is an MVP candidate. When it came down to it, Devin Booker kept the Suns winning. Yesterday, there were reports that Chris Paul could return for the Suns game against the Denver Nuggets. Last night, Chris Paul did and he immediately began mixing it up. He and Jeff Green got into it. The two were briefly teammates, during the 2016 season with the Clippers. But last night, Jeff Green wanted smoke, and CP3 didn’t back down.
