A month ago, Kanye West had social media on fire, after he purchased a home in the Hidden Hills area, of Los Angeles. This property is located across the street, from his estranged wife, Kim Kardshian. Many viewed this purchased as an odd one by Ye, after Kim began dating Pete Davidson.
Kanye purchased this home for $4.5 million, and paid $421,000 above the original asking price. This home is also reportedly going to be torn down, and remodeled.
In a new interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked, Kanye went on to speak about this purchase. It was here, that he revealed that the purchase of this home was made, so he can be closer to his four children. Ye also believes that the media made it seem that him being closer to his kids, was an odd move.
“My solace comes from seeing my kids and getting a solid schedule. That’s why I even got the house. They flipped it in the media like it was something wrong with me getting a house next to my kids. It’s nothing where my career, rap, this media, none of that, that’s going to keep me from my children, and that’s what I want everybody to know: Don’t play with me, don’t play with my children, and ain’t no security gonna get between me and my children; and you ain’t finna gaslight me and you ain’t gonna run this narrative on me.”
Kanye is also dealing with a legal case, where he’s facing misdemeanor battery. This is after allegedly punching a man in downtown Los Angeles, in the early ours of Thursday morning. This individual allegedly asked for Ye’s autograph.
