2022 NBA All-Star Draft – Team LeBron vs Team Durant – Inside The NBA #NBAAllStar [VIDEO]

LeBron James and Kevin Durant pick their players for the All-Star Game

A few years ago, the NBA All-Star Game went through a revamp. While the All-Star Game still has the East and the West facing off, it’s now about team captains. The top two vote getters from each conference ends up being the team captain. In 2018, the NBA All-Star Game did this format for the first time. Every year since switching to this format, LeBron James has been a team captain.

Much like the NBA Finals, LeBron James has had a lock on the NBA All-Star Game. Fittingly, LeBron faced off against Stephen Curry in the 2018 All-Star Game. The All-Star Game would be LeBron James’ only win against Stephen Curry all season long, as the Warriors swept the Cavs’ season series. Those Finals would also end with a Warriors sweep over the Cavs.

Kevin Durant would win Finals MVP in 2017 and 2018, as the Warriors went 8-1 against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. After two straight years of facing off against the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James is facing Kevin Durant two years straight. With the Warriors, Kevin Durant played LeBron in the Finals twice, having also played him with the Thunder, against the Heat, in 2012.

This afternoon, LeBron James and Kevin Durant picked their rosters for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.
