Letitia Wright confirms Black Panther 3 is happening

Black Panther : Wakanda Forever was arguably one of the best movies to hit theaters in 2022. Winning multiple awards including three Oscars, fans everywhere are anticipating a sequel to the already classic film. In a recent interview, lead actress of the film Letitia Wright teased at the possibility of a sequel. During the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet, she spoke with Variety on the future of Black Panther.

Letitia Wright became the star of the critically acclaimed movie following the death of Chadwick Boseman in 2020. Chadwick originally played the role of “Black Panther” in the first installment. Although devastating, the cast along with director Ryan Coogler decided to release the sequel in honor of the late star. The first film which hit theaters in 2018, is one Marvel’s highest grossing superhero films ever. Breaking box office records, the movie generated 1.3 billion worldwide and is the highest-grossing film directed by a black filmmaker.

With Letitia taking on the lead role, fans are anxious to see more of her hero story. During her red carpet interview she shared that the third installment is already in the works. She also spoke about her recovery process after the film and how it may take some time before we see the Black Panther on the big screen again.
