Power Book II Ghost Midseason Recap Season 2

The midseason finale of “Power Book II: Ghost” saw Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr.) finally pay for his crimes. In the current series, Tariq is innocent, but longtime “Power” fans know he had this coming. Through the original series, Tariq did everything he could to hurt Ghost (Omari Hardwick). Tariq’s refusal to act right led to the death of his twin sister, Raina.

On the current “Power” series, Tariq is the protagonist, working alongside Brayden (Gianni Paolo). Now in college, he has his girlfriend, Lauren (Paige Hurd), who indirectly led to his arrest. She was manipulated by Professor Milgram (Melanie Liburd). However, it was Cane (Woody McClain) who set him up, which has ruined Monet’s (Mary J. Blige) plan.

As the midseason came to an end, Lorenzo (Berto Colon) was released from prison. Diana (LaToya Tonedo) worked with Davis MacLean (Method Man) to secure his release. With Tariq giving her Davis’ contact, Lorezno may owe him a favor, now that he’s locked up. But, because Lauren wore the wire and Tariq inadvertently cleared Brayden, he’s behind bars.

Fans are eager to see what’ll happen when the show returns. However, before this, Starz releases the recap of the first five episodes.
