Over the past three years, Saweetie has definitely become one of the biggest artists to come out of the Bay Area, and the west coast in general. Her “My Type” single in 2019 propelled her to stardom, and the success has only gone up since then. She’s been able to achieve collaborations outside of music, with brands such as McDonald’s and Crocs, as well.

Saweetie is also taking the initiative to give back to communities. She and her Icy Baby Foundation are launching a financial literacy program. This is for youth, aged 7-17. This will be a six week program, as they will also receive a funded debit card, educational resources, and information about saving, budgeting, and financial planning.

Saweetie initially started her Icy Baby Foundation with her grandmother, in 2021. The goals of this are to inspire Black, brown, and other underserved students and family members to break through barriers, take control of their own futures, seize opportunities for good through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and technology training.

This announcement also comes after Saweetie released her new 6-track “The Single Life” EP, last month. She is also preparing to finally released her long-awaited debut studio album, “Pretty B*tch Music.”
