Southside is one of the hottest producers in the game. As a member of 808 Mafia, Southside rose to fame ten years ago. While Southside got his start producing trap anthems for the likes of Waka Flocka Flame, he rose to the top of the game. Experiencing all the industry had to offer, Southside was afforded the chance to work with Jay-Z. In 2016, Southside produced DJ Khaled’s hit, “I Got The Keys,” which featured Future alongside Jay-Z.

Southside rose to fame in 2012, which was the same year Lil Durk saw his career take off. The summer of 2012 saw a young movement from Chicago emerge. Drill music was almost unheard of, until those guys made it famous. At the time, Lil Durk was far from the leader of the pack. Actually, few people would have predicted Lil Durk still being around ten years later. Not only is Lil Durk still around, but he is one of the biggest rappers and moguls in the game.

Southside has kept a low profile, but he has continued working on music. However, Southside has seen people want to mention him more for his low key breakup with Yung Miami. When Yung Miami showed up holding Diddy’s hand, it was shocking. After the fact, people realized this meant she and Southside were over. Whatever the case, Southside kept working on his music. This week, Southside has put a lot of promotion into his single, “Save Me,” which features Lil Durk. They dropped the video this morning.
