Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers | Game 1 | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS [VIDEO]

Tyler Herro explodes off the bench to give Heat Game 1 win over 76ers

This season was different, for the NBA. The Eastern Conference was better than the Western Conference. Simply looking at records, it does not show that. The Miami Heat won the East’s first seed at 53-29. That was good enough for the NBA’s third best record. The Phoenix Suns have the NBA’s best record at 64-18. Also unusual about this season is how there was only one 60 win team.

While the West was stable, the East was filled with upheaval. The Heat eventually took the East’s first seed. But the Wizards, Cavaliers, Hornets, Bulls, Nets, Bucks, Celtics, and Sixers all had their turn as the first seed. Of those eight teams, only five of them even made the playoffs. However, of the three that didn’t make the playoffs, two of them posted a winning record.

The Miami Heat enjoyed a relatively easy series against the Atlanta Hawks. After three games vs the Toronto Raptors, the Philadelphia 76ers could have said the same. But the Raptors won two straight before Philly closed them in Game 6, losing Joel Embiid in the process. Without Embiid, the Sixers rallied against the Heat in Game 1. However, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro off the bench were too much for them.
