Quavo addresses 2020 Saweetie elevator fight
Back in March 2021, Saweetie and Quavo took to Twitter to reveal that they broke up. Saweetie put out the first tweet, where she announced that she became single. She also eluded to Quavo cheating on her, in the past. The two dated since fall 2018.
“I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
In spring 2021, footage also surfaced of Quavo and Saweetie getting into a fight in an elevator. The two argued at her apartment building in Los Angeles, which resulted in Saweetie throwing something at Quavo. The Migos rapper soon pulled her in an elevator, as they were seen pulling a suitcase. Saweetie soon fell to the ground, as Quavo didn’t help her up.
Now, Quavo is addressing that altercation, in a new interview with GQ. He doesn’t like how that video is being viewed by the public.
“If I can ever speak on it, I never once in a million years want to do any harm to any woman, period. I don’t like what people think. When they saw the elevator thing they thought it was abusive, something crazy.”
As of now Quavo appears to be enjoying the single life. Saweetie is also supposedly still single, after being rumored to be dating Lil Baby, last winter.
“I want to establish [myself] as a human being before I step into any more relationships or anything that can steer me off.”
