Years from now, hip hop scholars might look back on the summer of 2013 as one of the greatest summers ever. Then again, they might not, but in the here and now, most can admit this is the best run hip hop has had in a long time. This season was capped off with the release of Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Immediately, Jay-Z retook the game with Magna Carta Holy Grail and he featured his longtime collaborators on the record. All of the people who have been doing well over the past couple of years are on the album. But, no matter what, there are some people who dislike Jay-Z and his music.
When it comes to disliking Jay-Z’s music, Peter Rosenberg voiced his opinion during the latest edition of “The Realness.” He spoke on Magna Carta Holy Grail, basically saying the album is overrated, but crediting Jay-Z for having a few hot tracks on the record. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion when voiced properly and he has the platform to do it.
