Who’s Got Next in Atlanta?… Future

Last spring, Future burst onto the scene with his infectious “Tony Montana” single. Quickly, the song became a favorite for rappers to freestyle over. The Atlanta sensation did not mind, as it did wonders to his overall reputation, putting him on the map. “Tony Montana” found its way to Drake, who remixed the single and even gave Future a co-sign, which would later turn sour.

Despite how things ended, Future had nothing bust positive things to say about Drake. The Atlanta hip hop scene was lacking over the first five months of 2011 and Future was there, right on time. By the fall of 2011, Future earned himself a record deal. L.A. Reid, who was recently appointed as the chairman of Epic Records, signed the rising talent to a lucrative deal.

Currently working on his Pluto debut album, Future has been featured on records with Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne wants to collaborate with him, and T.I. jumped on his “Magic” single. Future boasts co-signs from many heavy-hitters, including DJ Drama. So far, Future has lived up to his name and is making noise all over the country. He will definitely play a major part in the Atlanta comeback.
