21 Savage Turns Himself in, to Atlanta Police, Due to Allegedly Possessing Weapons and Drugs During 2019 ICE Arrest; Has Since Posted Bond

In early 2019, the music industry was shocked, after 21 Savage was arrested by ICE. This was due to him actually being a United Kingdom resident, and his US visa expiring. Now, there are more issues, stemming from that arrest.

According to Buzzfeed, the rapper turned himself into Atlanta police, on Thursday. This was due to 21 supposedly possessing drugs and weapons, during that time. 21 also allegedly threw out a bottle of codeine, and had a handgun, in his car.

Attorney Charles Kuck, who represents 21, fold Buzzfeed that this is just ICE trying to get 21, and refuses to drop this case.

“The warrant appears to have been sought at the behest of ICE, as the warrant was issued in the eve of an Immigration Court hearing in Mr. Joseph’s deportation proceeding, and is based upon events that transpired on the evening that ICE arrested Mr. Joseph over 2 and one-half years ago,” Kuck explained. “There can be no doubt that ICE is seeking to cover its own errors in detaining Mr. Jospeh by pushing trumped-up charges against him and seeks to stop him from obtaining lawful permanent residence in the United States.”

21 ended up posting bond on Thursday evening, as he continues to battle this case. He will now join J. Cole, for the “Off-Season Tour.”
