2Pac honored with star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Over a week ago, it was revealed that the late and legendary 2Pac would finally receive a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk Of Fame. That was scheduled for June 7, which is 10 days before what would’ve been Pac’s birthday.
As a result, the Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony for 2Pac was officially held this morning, in Hollywood, CA. Big Boy of Real 92.3 hosted the event, as Pac’s sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur also accepted the star, on Pac’s behalf. Furthermore, 2Pac’s godfather Jamal Joseph and the director of the new “Dear Mama” docuseries on Hulu, Allen Hughes, also spoke about the legacy of Pac.
“Tupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary,” said Hollywood Walk Of Fame Producer Ana Martinez, in a statement. “This iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come. Surely, as one of L.A.’s own, Tupac’s star will be added to the list of most visited stars.”
