Kevin Liles testifies in favor of Young Thug in court
Three weeks ago, Young Thug and Gunna were part of a 56-count indictment. This includes 26 other members of their YSL crew. Crimes allegedly committed include RICO, murders, and gang activities.
Gunna’s bond went on to be denied, and his trial will take place in January 2023. But, a decision on Thug’s bond request, has yet to be decided by a judge.
However, today in court, Thug received some huge backing. This was from 300 Entertainment Co-founder, Kevin Liles. Thug is signed to this label, as Liles said Thug is like a son to him. Liles also explained why lyrics shouldn’t be used against Thug in this case.
Liles even agreed to pay $1 million in security for Thug, should he be granted bond. However, Liles also accepted responsibility if Thug committed any violations, of this bond.
“This whole thing that people are talking about, that’s not him. The Jeffrey I know? The Jeffrey I know would give me the clothes off of his back. The Jeffrey I know? I can give him my kids, he could give me his kids. That’s the Jeffrey I know.”
As of now, that decision for Thug being granted bond still hasn’t been decided on. It’ll be interesting to see if Kevin Liles’ testimony helps Thug, in this situation.
