50 Cent signs three-project content partnership deal with Lusid Media; Working on unscripted true crime series, coming to Peacock, in 2023

50 Cent signs content partnership deal with Lusid Media

Over the past decade, 50 Cent has been extremely dominant, when it comes to creating successful hit TV series. In 2014, he and STARZ achieved one of the biggest TV hit series of all time, with “Power.” Over the last several years, Power has branched out into various spinoffs, such as the “Powerbook” series, as well as “Raising Kanan.”

In the fall of 2021, 50 and STARZ also delivered another major hit series, with “BMF.” This detailed the success of two huge drug dealers, in Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. Meech’s son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory, played the role of him.

In the spring, though, 50 expressed his frustration with STARZ, as he made it known that he intended to leave. This fall, he officially let the deal expire, as he did end up moving on.

Now, 50 continues to make even more big moves, in the television realm. According to Variety, he’s signed a content partnership deal, with Lusid Media. This will include three projects, as well as an upcoming unscripted true crime series, coming to Peacock, in 2023. 50 is serving as executive producer.

“I am excited by the kind of stories we’re going to be bringing to life together, and can’t wait for the first project to reach Peacock next year,” 50 said in a statement. “G-Unit Film & Television continues to go from strength-to-strength, and this partnership with Lusid is another great collaboration for the team.”
