Beyoncé is allegedly conducting “#MeToo background checks,” on collaborators, for her upcoming “Renaissance” album; Has reportedly rejected two “high profile artists”

Beyoncé allegedly conducting #MeToo background checks on collaborators

Beyoncé is set to finally release her first solo studio album since 2016, on July 29. This is “Renaissance,” which will be her seventh studio album. Bey released the first single from Renaissance last month, which was “Break My Soul,” a house/EDM record. On Wednesday, it reached number seven, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Renaissance is a little over three weeks away, and information is now surfacing about Beyonce and who she is deciding to collaborate with. According to the New York Post, Bey is conducting “#MeToo background” checks, on people that she works with, on this project. This is reportedly due to Detail, who produced “Drunk In Love,” being accused of sexual harassment, rape, and abuse.

“Beyonce was devastated when she found out Detail, one of her past collaborators, was accused of rape and sexual assault,” said a source to The Sun. “She stopped working with him and her team now run #MeToo checks on any potential collaborators. Two songs from high-profile artists have been rejected because of allegations they are facing.”

Beyoncé has reportedly also since denied “two high profile musicians,” from appearing on Renaissance. This comes after those alleged #MeToo background checks.
