Candace Owens and N.O.R.E. could be sued with Kanye West
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Kanye West is being sued by the mother of George Floyd’s daughter, Gianna. This is due to comments made by Ye on “Drink Champs” last weekend, where he claimed that Floyd died of fentanyl, and Officer Derek Chauvin’s knee wasn’t even on Floyd’s neck, “like that.”
This lawsuit comes after Attorney Lee Merritt revealed over the weekend, that this lawsuit was a possibility. According to TMZ, more defendants could also be brought into the lawsuit against Kanye. These include Candace Owens, who spread the lies about Floyd, in her new documentary. N.O.R.E, Drink Champs and REVOLT may also be brought in as additional defendants.
One of the attorneys, Kay Williams, states that Owens made “blatant” lies about Floyd in her documentary. The second attorney, Nuru Witherspoon, says that Floyd’s daughter Gianna has since been “retraumatized.” This entire lawsuit would be suing due to intentional infliction of emotional distress and misappropriation.
The Drink Champs interview has since been taken down, and N.O.R.E. apologized. That came after he bragged on Sunday evening, about the Kanye video supposedly getting more views, than the day’s NFL games.
