Earlier this week, the world witnessed a shocking moment in the Buffalo Bills vs Cincinnati Bengals Monday Night Football game. Bills Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field, in the first quarter, after tackling Bengals Tight End Tee Higgins. This resulted in Hamlin being out into an ambulance, and needed to be revived twice, on the field.
It was later revealed that Hamlin suffered from cardiac arrest, and was in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has since made a positive recovery, as he began to write his thoughts, and was soon able to speak again.
However, on Saturday, Hamlin even spoke to Philadelphia 76ers Co-Owner Michael Rubin, as well as Meek Mill. Hamlin posted a screenshot of this call to Instagram, as everyone was all smiles. Therefore, he also took to his main IG feed to thank everyone for all of the support.
Meanwhile, that Bills-Bengals game ended up being canceled. This was understandable, due to the emotional state that all of the players were in, out out of concern about Hamlin. Therefore, the NFL has since made some playoff changes, in the event that a neutral site would need to be held, for the AFC Championship Game. The Bills currently stand at 12-3, and the Bengals are 11-4.
