Some find him annoying, others are just in it for his bangers, but the word to describe DJ Khaled is genius. He has overcome so much and continued to grow, both as an artist, and as a person. At a time when music has changed, Khaled has changed with it.
DJ Khaled rose to fame as a member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad. But, he was already well-known for being on Miami’s 99 Jamz. The years since then have seen DJ Khaled completely take over the game, but it took ten years before people really appreciated him.
Over the weekend, DJ Khaled recreated the hype over Drake and his vocals. He said the song, “To The Max,” plus a major announcement were coming. This morning, as promised, the song came, as did the June 23 album release date, with Khaled logging 1 million streams in less than 24 hours on his new single.
