Doja Cat shows off large bat skeleton tattoo on her back

Doja Cat has been trending on social media lately, due to the tattoos that she’s been getting inked on her. Last month, that included an animal on her forearm, which many believed to have had demonic meaning behind it. Doja seemingly brushed off that being the case, as she said “If ur calling me demonic honestly werk cuz like i love that u ate fr.” She added that the tattoo is inspired by an illustration from a 17th-century book by Italian philosopher Fortunio Liceti.

However, Doja is getting more animal ink on her body, as this one is on full display, on her back. This design features an animal in the form of both a bat and a skeleton, as images of it were posted to her Instagram. As a result, Doja also posted a passage from an animal symbolism website, to explain why she decided to get this tattoo.

“Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new,” the passage explained. “They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning.”

Meanwhile, Doja is also working on her fourth studio album. She recently explained that this will be an all-rap project, and not contain pop records. Her last project was her “Planet Her” album, back in June 2021.
