French Montana has over 1 million streams removed from his “Writing on the Wall” single on Spotify, as only 751,000 streams were real, according to @karlamagne

Because of how long he’s been around, French Montana has deep connections in the industry. The Bronx rapper floated around camps, but took his career into his own hands, in 2011. When the spring hit, he started dropping songs every day.

French Montana led an incredible run, which ended with him being the center of a bidding war. Just before the end of 2011, French Montana went on “106 & Park” to confirm signing with Bad Boy Records. The run continued into 2012, when he released his first radio hit single.

Since then, French Montana hasn’t been as consistent with his music, branching out and doing movies. He did return, in 2017, to drop the biggest single of his career, “Unforgettable,” which was a huge summer anthem. Numerically, he has another hit with “Writing on the Wall,” featuring Cardi B and Post Malone.

However, there is a guy on Twitter, @karlamagne, who has a thread that accuses French Montana’s streams of being fake, 1 million of the 1.7 million that “Writing on the Wall” has. This thread includes some stats, which back up his claims.
