Future may launch new medical marijuana and cannabis brands after filing trademarks

Future files trademarks for possible startup cannabis brands

Since 2011, Future has been one of the music industry’s biggest stars. He’s totaled seven straight number one solo studio albums since 2015, and has released a long myriad of hit records. This month, Future even went on to win another Grammy, for Best Melodic Rap Performance. That was for his 2022 Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Wait For U” single, featuring Drake and Tems.

Wait For U initially appeared on Future’s ninth studio album, “I Never Liked You,” in April 2022. That easily became another number one album for the Atlanta rapper, as it included 22 songs in total. Future also collaborated with Kanye West, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and more.

However, it appears that Future is also planning to launch other business ventures. According to popular trademark attorney Clarissa, he has filed six trademarks, which relate to possible medical marijuana and cannabis brands. These were initially filed by Future and his team, on February 17.

Future’s intent-to-use trademark applications are included in several classes for “EVOL BY FUTURE,” to be used in connection with smoking lounge services, vape pens, medicated oils, etc.
