Future wins Grammy for “Wait For U” single with Drake and Tems

At the 2023 Grammys, Future added another Grammy win to his resume. This was in the category of Best Melodic Rap Performance. The record that earned the Atlanta rapper this victory was for his “Wait For U.” This single was released in 2022, and included two huge features from Drake and Tems. This single’s win also had Tems become the first Nigerian female artist to earn a Grammy. In total, Future earns six Grammy nominations, for 2023.

Wait On U went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Fans initially discovered this record on Future’s “I Never Liked You” album, which also went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This project was also his ninth studio album, and his seventh straight at number one.

Wait For U also went on to become the most streamed song in the US of 2022, on Apple Music. It even set the milestone of becoming the only collaboration released in 2022 to released 4x platinum eligibility.
