In 2022, Future was dominant once again. In April, he released his ninth studio album, I Never Liked You.” On that project, fans discovered another massive hit record in “Wait For U.” That featured Drake and Tems, as it debuted at number one in the US. I Never Liked You also became Future’s seventh straight number one studio album. Wait For U, scored a Grammy nomination, for Best Melodic Rap Performance, was also the most streamed song on Apple Music, in 2022, and even the first song last year, to go 4x platinum.

I Never Liked You contained 22 tracks in total, including collaborations with Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Kanye West, Kodak Black, and more. Other singles included “Worst Day” and “Keep It Burnin” featuring Kanye West. Future initially built hype for Worst Day, after appearing in an interview with Kevin Samuels.

According to Chart Data, I Never Liked You was also the number one best selling rap album of 2022 in the US, in terms of total units. This project was a massive fan-favorite overall, as Future initially announced plans of its release in early April.
