Gangsta Boo’s posthumous album is reportedly coming in August
It’s been over two months now, since legendary Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo’s sudden passing. She passed at her home, as many suspect that it may have been as a result of a drug overdose. The night prior, Boo also attended a concert with her brother.
According to TMZ, there is already a Gangsta Boo posthumous album on the way. Sources close to Boo’s team state that Latto, Skepta, La Chat, Crunchy Black and Run The Jewels are among the featured artists confirmed to appear on this project. Fellow Memphis native Drumma Boy will also provide production on it. JMetro Boomin, and fellow Three 6 Mafia members DJ Paul and Juicy J may also add production to it.
As of now, no official title for Boo’s album has been made publicly available. However, the release date is being aimed for August 7, which would be her 44th birthday.
“My daughter Lola was my only baby girl,” said Boo’s mother in a statement to TMZ. “I was so proud when she would rap as a little girl. She became the Queen of Memphis and God brought her home to be with her daddy Cedric and her brother Derron. I miss her but I know she’s happy with them. I’ll always remember telling her GO GET THEM DOLLAS, but I had no idea how many people would love my baby girl. I’m grateful all y’all support my daughter. Thank you.”
