GloRilla attends Gangsta Boo’s funeral in Mississippi
Two weeks ago, hip-hop suffered a huge loss, after news broke that Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo passed away. She was found in her Memphis home, as she’s suspected to have suffered a drug overdose. The day before, she attended a concert in Memphis, as her brother went on to say that she was going through those issues, that night. It’s also suspected that a Fentanyl-laced substance was a factor in that.
Boo was only 43, and was one of the biggest female rappers of the late 1990s and early 2000s. She released six studio albums while with Three 6 Mafia, and three solo albums.
On Friday, a celebration of life event was held, in Boo’s hometown of Memphis. The official funeral ceremony went on to be held in Southaven, MS. Photos of the aftermath of the service are now going viral, as GloRilla was one of those in attendance. GloRilla is also a Memphis native, and began to form a relationship with Boo.
A month before Boo’s passing, she appeared on Latto and GloRilla’s “FTCU” single. This collaboration was praised on social media, as well as the visuals for it.
