Gunna and his legal team have reportedly filed fourth motion, for bond request, a week after being denied again

Gunna files motion for fourth bond request

A week ago, Gunna’s request to be released from jail on bond, was denied for the third time. This request for bond was made, even after it was revealed that all violent crimes against him were dropped.

Gunna’s legal case is a 56-count RICO indictment, which also includes Young Thug, and 26 other members of their YSL crew. Thug’s request for bond has also been denied, three times. As of now, Gunna won’t have a shot at being released, until at least his January 2023 trial date. He is also accused of possibly intimidating witnesses.

However, Gunna is filing another motion, for bond. His attorney, Steve Sadow, explained the decision for this move, in latest legal documents released. This includes not being able to provide proof that any violent crimes were committed.

“On three prior occasions, Defendant Kitchens has moved the Court for a reasonable bond. On each occasion, the State has made proffers at hearings that turned out to be false and/or misleading.”

“The State’s obvious willingness to say or do anything to deny Mr. Kitchens pretrial bail has failed to proffer a single violent act or a single threat to a witness by Kitchens or on Kitchens’ behalf. It’s failure to correct any of its exaggerations and false proffers is a blight on the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.”
