Kendrick Lamar dominates with wins at BET Hip-Hop Awards
On Tuesday night, the annual BET Hip-Hop Awards aired. This was initially recored in Atlanta, on October 3. Moreover, the night was headlined by plenty of memorable performances. Furthermore, hip-hop’s best were also honored for the work that they put in, over the past year.
At the Hip-Hop Awards, Kendrick Lamar also scored multiple wins. One of those was for Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year. Lamar earned this over fellow stars, such as Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Burna Boy, Cardi B, Drake, Glorilla, and J. Cole. In addition to Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year, Lamar earned the award for Best Live Performer, Lyricist Of The Year, and Director Of The Year, with fellow PgLang record label founder Dave Free.
These wins by Kendrick Lamar at the BET Hip-Hop Awards comes after he put out his Billboard 200 chart-topping “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” album, in May 2022. That was Lamar’s first album since 2017’s “DAMN,” as it became his third straight number one album. Last fall, he also went on to venture on his The Big Steppers Tour, which sold out arenas all over North America.
