Lil Wayne postpones Atlanta concert
Lil Wayne was scheduled to perform at the Atlanta stop of his “Welcome To Tha Cater” Tour on Saturday night, but that is no longer happening. This was confirmed by him, to his Instagram feed, late Friday night.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances we have to reschedule the Atlanta show tomorrow,” said Wayne on Instagram. I apologize to my fans, but I kan’t wait to turn up with y’all soon. Luv ATL.”
However, no new date for Wayne’s Atlanta concert has been revealed just yet. It’s also still unclear what caused the postponement of Saturday’s show. Wayne initially kicked off his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour on April 4, in Minneapolis. It will run through May 13, where it’ll conclude in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, fans of Wayne are also still waiting on his “Tha Carter 6” album. He initially revealed last August that he’s been working on that project. That was during his set at Drake’s OVO Fest event, in Toronto. There is no official release date for Carter 6 at this point, either. Wayne’s previous album arrived in January 2020, which was the chart-topping “Funeral.”
