Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 Smash Hit Single, “Body,” Goes Platinum

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion had another dominant year, where she put out multiple hits such as her chart-topping “Savage” remix feat. Beyoncè as well as “Cry Baby” feat. DaBaby and “Body.”

Body was a record that suddenly caught on fire after fans discovered it on Megan’s debut studio album, “Good News,” which released in November. Body went on to peak at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The music video also went on to have cameos from stars such as Taraji P. Henson and Blac Chyna. Now, it has reached another huge milestone.

According to Chart Data, Body is now certified platinum by the RIAA in the US. This is after selling 1 million units. Body ended up being a huge viral hit as dance challenges were created on apps such as TikTok and Instagram.

The Good News album as a whole did very well too as it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. It also went on to reach platinum status as well. Megan is now currently on a hiatus but many expect her to put out the deluxe for Good News when she starts releasing new music again.
