Miles Bridges requests restraining order against wife
Back in June, current NBA free agent Miles Bridges was accused by his wife, Mychelle Johnson, of assaulting her, with their children present. However, this month, Bridges pled no contest, to one count of felony domestic violence. This resulted in no jail time, but five years of probation.
Bridges is still dealing with many issues with Johnson, though. According to TMZ, he has filed a restraining order against her, due to her recently allegedly harassing him, on three separate occasions. Bridges is asking a judge to confirm that Johnson cannot be 100 feet near him or his dog.
Two days after the plea deal, Johnson has since been showing up to Bridges’ home, or locations he’s at. On October 12, he was at an Airbnb in Los Angeles, when Johnson soon showed up, with their two children. This resulted in Bridges going inside the home, to avoid any legal issues. Johnson was allegedly trying to use a hose nozzle to break in, though. As a result, she just decided to leave with the kids, and Bridges’ dog.
On October 31, Bridges claims that Johnson followed him to an LA hookah lounge, around 2:30AM. She also had their two children, and desperately wanted to speak to him. Friends and bodyguards attempted to get Johnson to leave, but she insisted on staying there, for six hours.
The third incident allegedly occurred on November 5. Then, Bridges called LAPD, due to Johnson coming to his Airbnb, again. He states that she “stood outside the home antagonizing me and refusing to leave.”
Bridges is still an NBA free agent. Prior to this incident, he was on his way to a huge free agency extension, with the Charlotte Hornets.
