Last night, “Empire” returned to television following their six month hiatus. Waiting a long time, fans got their fix and Lee Daniels pulled out all the stops for fans. Opening scenes on “Empire” included cameos from Al Sharpton and Chris Rock.
However, the main players in the show were Jussie Smollett, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Grace Gealey, Trai Byers, Bryshere Gray, and Marisa Tomei. Smollett’s Jamal is running Empire for Lucious, as Cookie, Anika, Andre, and Hakeem vie to take it. Good drama.
In the midst of all the drama and the hiatus, Jamal got back with his boyfriend, Michael. Coming up with a plan to do something for the LGBT community, Miss Lawrence was brought in and performed for “Empire.” Known for being the confidante to the ladies on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Empire” viewers took to Twitter with shock.
