Mobb Deep to launch 20th anniversary tour on May 9

It looks like the hiatus is officially over for Mobb Deep. Last spring, during this time, there were questions of Havoc and Prodigy secretly feuding. These rumors heightened when Havoc released several Twitter posts insulting his partner. Denying these posts, the two eventually attended a New York Knicks’ game together.

Later, Havoc and Prodigy announced their official split. Havoc and Prodigy took things solo and shots were fired. Most of the shots appeared to be coming from Havoc, as the mouth of the duo, Prodigy, was not angered. Prodigy has been speaking out, as of late, and he announced Mobb Deep reunited.

Promising an album due in 2013, Mobb Deep has new music in the works for later this year. The two have reunited in time for Mobb Deep’s twentieth anniversary and Prodigy says an album in the works. Before Mobb Deep actually returns with their new album, they will launch their tour in Chicago at Double Door and it will be the first of seventeen stops on the tour.
