Mozzy released from prison early and celebrates with YG
Over the past several weeks, rumors circulated that Mozzy was released early from prison, 10 months into his year-long prison sentence. It was unclear how true that situation was, but that is now confirmed.
YG took to his Instagram stories to show off a happy Mozzy, as he is indeed home from prison. Mozzy was initially incarcerated due to a 2020 gun case. YG and Mozzy have frequently collaborated, as they even released the joint album “Kommunity Service,” in 2021. As a result, that project went on to see a number 88 debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.
Mozzy turned himself in to serve his 1-year sentence last summer. He was arrested for gun possession by a convicted felon after a traffic stop in Culver City, CA., on January 29, 2021. That was also the same year that he signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG record label. In the summer, Mozzy’s “Survivor’s Guilt” album was released. Furthermore, the Sacramento rapper also put out his “Kollect Kall” EP, last month.
