Rolling Loud tried to book Travis Scott after Kanye West canceled
On Sunday, Kanye West surprised many fans, after it was revealed that he dropped out of the upcoming Rolling Loud festival, in Miami. Instead, Kid Cudi will be taking Kanye’s place, as the two have also recently been feuding.
Rolling Loud Co-Founder Tariq Cherie initially said that they attempted to get Kanye to stay on the lineup, but he wasn’t “having it.” This is the second major festival that Kanye suddenly dropped out of in 2022. In April, he dropped out of Coachella, the week of the festival.
News of Kanye dropping out of Rolling Loud angered many fans, especially those who purchased tickets, mostly to see him. Nonetheless, many other fans are still excited to see RL, at Hard Rock Stadium.
Fans soon asked Rolling Loud Co-Founder Tariq Cherif on Instagram, to book Travis Scott to replace Kanye. Cherif initially said that Hard Rock Stadium wouldn’t allow Travis, due to the Astroworld Festival deaths. Now, he is clarifying his comments.
Cherif went on to tell TMZ that Rolling Loud did seek to book Travis, but it was simply a situation of being too last minute. Travis’ team reportedly said that he wants the perfect show for his fans, and this timeframe is much too short, to get a performance booked in time.
