Soulja Boy has been trending on social media lately again and this is due to his his claims of being the trendsetter for many things in the music industry. Fans are also still impressed that Nicki Minaj sampled his 2007 “Donk” song on her 2009 “Itty Bitty Piggy” song from 2009. That was rereleased on her 2009 “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape last week, which included additional new songs.
Now, Soulja has made an announcement this morning and that is regarding his participation in a Verzuz battle. He says that it is now official regarding he and Bow Wow participating in a Verzuz. Bow Wow ended up confirming this himself by retweeting Soulja’s original tweet that said “Soulja Boy vs Bow Wow #Verzuz. It’s official.” Bow Wow then retweeted a tweet that showed “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock with the caption “When Soulja boy plays kiss me through the phone and bow wow counters with Like You.”
As of now, Verzuz hasn’t officially confirmed this themselves, though. The two did take to Instagram Live to make it official onn their end, though. Soulja and Bow Wow have collaborated before, most notably on their “Marco Polo” song, from 2008. That appeared on Bow Wow’s “New Jack City II” album.” Marco Polo went on to peak at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
